I have been looking at the parts for my Expediter.
The 'exclusive airframe reducer' fits....well....crappy.
This is my 4th LOC kit and I was surprised about the sloppy fit.
I have not measured it, but would probably need 3 to 4 layers of
masking tape to get a snug fit.
if I put screws of rivets it will egg shape the air frame.
Has anyone built an Expediter?
Have they had the same problem?
What is a good solution?
Thanks Mike
Are you saying the couplers fit crappy?
The reducer. Reduces the air frame from 4" to 3"
The 4" airframe and the 3" airframe fits tooooo looooose
I would wrap it in fiberglass and laminate it to the proper size or just a hair larger then sand it to fit. It will make it stronger and the right size.
I would agree with Conway. Rough it up with 40 grit and wrap a layer of 5 or 6oz. glass over it. You may not want to overlap the glass though, depends on the thickness.

The reducer I had from LOC also fit very loose and it was molded from plastic. I cut off the ends allowing the ejection charge to blow through it and permanently glued it into place. Of course your parachute compartment is now in the 3" body tube but its just an idea.
