Is that including the antenna? I thought the antenna's were all about 6" and shouldn't be bent?
most antennas are 8 to 12 inches but they do not really take up that much room. They can be ran down the inside of the AF or coiled up so that when it comes out it straightens out. The transmitter JW uses is about 0.5x3.0 with an 8in antenna but several people out there have the smaller ones like these:
I have orderd directly from L L Electronics and you can save a few bucks. Also I specified the 219 MHz band since that's the receiver I had and they had not problem building what I need. Here is their web site http://www.radiotracking.com/xlf.html

I totally forgot about this contest and haven't been on the NCR site in a while.
I've got a nice minimum diameter bird I'd like to enter the SSS at MHM; would it be possible to pony up the entry $ and all that jazz on site or would it be better to do it now (couple days prior?)?
LMK...I'll be on here off/on over the next few days.
Onsite is best. Look for Warren (that's me). I'll be LCO Saturday AM from 8 to noon and my truck and EZ-Up will be right next to the administration EZ-Up.
Warren
will do Warren, see you tomorrow!
weather looks good 😆
right now Warren is sitting in the back of his P/U holding the rear window of his camper shell closed in 50 mph winds...well maybe one of the guys let him and Joe get in out of the wind for a while.
