Now that we are under fireban for a month nore at least, I'd like to see if we can't get some more money, I mean interest in the SSS and SSSS (and NCR activities generally) by producing some posters for Hobby Town, etc. Warren and I talked about this way back, like in January, but it was derailed. I have a really nice wide format printer, just wanting to solocit some idea, images, content etc for a poster.
Along those lines, the HobbyTown in westminster has a few rockets hanging from the ceiling, nice rockets and way bigger than most any estes kit, but still limited. I was wondering, assuming they would permit, NCR displays that announce themselves in no uncertain terms that rockets aren't just for kids, or this isn't your dads olds (rocket). Doesn't need to be gargantuan, just resonate "serious device, not a toy" attitude. if you have a rocket that might fit this description, send me a pic. I'd like to gather a small portfolio before approaching Hobbytown This is a loan like many patrons do for museums, you still own it and can retrieve it anytime you want.

I have the one I did my L1 cert with. 5.5' x 4". 29mm x 3 cluster. Can send a pic if you're interested.
That's great idea. Wonder if Art, Troy and Joe would part with the Event Horizon so it can hang from the Westminster's Hobbytown USA's ceiling? It would definitely draw attention, plus probably bring the roof down. 🙂 I buy a lot of stuff there. That's where I bought my SSS G80T. Nice place. Sorry don't have pics or a model at this time.
Great ideas, just send me pics, and I'll get em over to HT.

Actually after the Event Horizons 3rd and Last flight it shall be retired and be hung fron the ceiling in the Hobbytown where Joe works. It was also told to me by them that this last week at the Denver museum of Natural History they were there and spoke to a crowd about rocketry and such i belive from what i was told that they had a really good turn out. Like more then a hundred. Anyhow The Museum has also offered to give the Even Horizon a home and put it on Display in the Museum. But from what I understand is that it had allready been commited to Hobby Town. Also I guess Art got the chance to meet with some Lockheed Martin folks and take a tour most people will never get to see of their place.. That sounds fun!!
