A bit late notice unless you were already aware of this event. Gas prices are down so this would be a good NAR regional to attend. Reed Coker and I will be heading down there. Come join us! I'll have lots of model rocket materials (and extra motors) there with me so you can build a rocket in the motel or on the range if you wish, my treat. These are easy events and you probably already have rockets that fill the bill. We'll be staying at the Best Western in Alamogordo.

We don't know the results yet of this meet at the White Sands fall Regional, but it was obvious that NCR member Reed Coker won the A division (13 and under) and, waiting on verification, may have set three new NAR A division National records in the D Altitude, D Eggloft Duration and C Superroc Duration.
NCR C division members, Joe Hinton, Tim Thomas and Bruce Schaefer will all get qualifying points for having one rocket flown by proxy (by yours truly) in the Random Duration event. I have a lock on at least 2nd place.

[from James W. Basler] Note: Joe Hinton, Tim Thomas and Bruce Schaefer had a proxy flight flown for them as needed to make it a regional event. The rocket allocated for Bruce's flight on Sunday was not needed, so his entry was not recorded.

Congratulations to Reed Coker, (NCR member) who set new national records for A Division in C Superroc Duration, D Eggloft Duration, and D Altitude (especially since two of those records were held by Arianna Williams of CRASH!). Honorable mention goes to Sawyer Miller, who also broke the old national records in A Division in C Superroc and D Eggloft in second-place efforts! Those records didn't stand a chance on this particular weekend!

That sounds like fun. If my daughter is still interested we may go down there. My wife is from Ruidoso and we would stay there. Only a 30 min drive from there. I need another excuse to go to the space museum again anyways 🙂
