I'm wondering if anyone has ever flown a fairly high gee flight with a 9v battery either on edge or laying flat? The boost I have in mind is a relatively modest 35 gees, so it isn't too terribly aggressive. I've flown 9v batteries upright at twice that many gees, so I have a lot of respect for them.
I don't want to risk the flight if this is a marginal situation. OTOH, it twould facilitate some other issues if I could lay the battery down. Just curious if anyone has experience here?

The Big Daddy upscale has a 9V that I have laying down flat. Going up on a J800T the battery had no problem but because of an airstart issue the deployment was pretty high gees. The battery broke the plywood sled in half. Everything keep working until the loose battery smashed the altimeter switch. Lucky for me the main had been pulled out so other than a long walk it was no problem. My suggestion would be if you had a strong sled that is well attached it should be no problem.
