In my preparation for MHM, I noticed the AMW 75mm casing I borrowed is missing the "nozzle washer". Can someone bring a spare that I can borrow? I'm hoping I could get it from Wildman but I would like to make sure one is waiting for me.
I am also in need of a 1/2" launch rod, preferably over 6' long. I know my comments about not using rods but this is a special case for the Mars Snooper III. It wasn't practical to use rail guides on it. I'm sure the club has one...
Doug
Doug, the club most definitely has a 6' x 1/2" rod.

Doug,
I have both Pro-x and Loki 75mm hardware, likely have something that will work--is the amw a full nozzle or one that fits within a sleeve?
J
It does fit in a liner but the washer goes between the nozzle and the snap ring. I estimate a 2.75" OD and about 2" ID and about 1/4" thick. I think it distributes the load to the graphite nozzle. I thought about trying to make one from aluminum then reconsidered, what is the melting point of aluminum?
Doug
1200f, or several thousand below exhaust temps.
Doug, I have a 75mm nozzle washer for an AMW 75-6000 case. If that fits, you're welcome to borrow it.
Warren
I can't see why it wouldn't - at least with all the loki hardware I've seen (38, 54, and 75), the rings are the same size for all the cases in that diameter. I would assume AMW is the same way.

Not sure I was clear, some of the pro-x hardward for instance have nozzle adapters, so less graphite used--sounds like Warren has you covered anyway.

Thanks everyone. I'm not that familar with other brands other than Aerotech. I've used AMW on a few occasions when Jim was still renting. The guy I borrowed it from says Tim is suppose to send him one (it was missing from the set he bought). I was just estimating the size from the place it is suppose to go... Thanks again.
Doug
No problem Doug. I'm not using that AMW 75/6000 case this launch so I made sure I threw the ring in my range box. Just see me when you get in and I'll have it.
