I am using automotive paints on my rockets and have been told that by doing so AND by waxing them I can reduce the drag coefficient. Is there any way to SWAG a reduction factor and if so, can rocksim be changed to reflect this?
So far my Daughter's D12 build is simulating nicely, but I want to try and squeeze another 200-300' out of it at least. 😈
Build starts tomorrow night - IF the house cleaning chores get done in time. 😉
Hey Greg
You should try some of this new helium paint Im using on our rocket.
Put out by this company called Helex.
Guy at the paint shop, down near the swamp, garanteed me 15% higher shots!
You would have to have a LEUP for the hydrogen paint though, to explosive. 😉
Thanks Edward! Looks like I have a new program to figure out now... 😆
Scott, You find some of the most obscure things. I can't understand how a hydrogen based paint can lower drag that much, but I'm no physicist. Pretty cool though. I have to knock off the high dollar stuff, I'm taking another pay cut next month.... I'm riding the Harley A LOT!
