If I can make it up for the meeting, I can bring up a "still in the shrinkwrap" bundle of 8' lengths of 1010 and 1020 rail.
1010 - 1"x1" standard 8' long $20ea.
1020 - 1"x2" standard 8' long $40ea.
I need the money, and it's less than McMaster, plus no shipping. Any interest? If not, I won't waste the extra gas to haul it.
Ken
Ken, I will take one of those 1010 rails of your hands.
Art
Only one? What, don't want to make your own "Gerrard Pad"? 😉
If I don't make it, I'll hold one for you.
Ken
I got dibs on at least one 1010 rail. I may want more.
Warren
Me Too! I'll take a 1010 rail if any are left.
I'll have some Estes kits and a piece of 6in PML tubing and a coupler for sale. Maybe a few other things for sale depending what I find cleaning this week.
Ron
PS John I lived in Ames for a bunch of years but like here better.

Ahh, I want to have one around for construction and alignment purposes. It seams like I always mount buttons and have to cross my fingers in hopes that I measured correctly and the rocket will slide freely onto the rail when I get to the launch. If I have a "construction rail", then I won't need to worry about that then. Thanks Ken!
Hi All,
Grit Stix Rocket Rasp
This is my own invention that is simply a 1/8" x 1" x 11" aluminum bar wrapped and bonded with some coarser grits of the A275 Sand paper.
These aggresive Stix work great for reducing and shaping epoxy and fiberglass rocket components.
The finer Stix work great for sizing couplers and breaking sharp edges.
Swap Meet Special
$4.00 each or 3 for $10.00

The Rocket Rasps that Dennis is bringing are great things, get em while you can! I have a set and they have come in handy many times. The best part is that the sandpaper is the good automotive quality stuff, not the cheap stuff, point being, it holds up well.

I've got one just for that, too, Art... as well as using rods for lugs and Acme rail guides. Plus, you and others have seen me, in the middle of a build, sliding the club's rails along the buttons to make sure I'm in line. 😉 A LOT of friends have offered me a ride, and I'm going to ride along with Mike K (slide rule, uh, slipstick). See you guys Saturday!
See you Saturday Bruce and everyone!
Art
See you there, Art! I have a 3" nose cone from my GLR Vertical Assault that saw me through two certs, L1 & L2, and I don't need it anymore. Plus a body tube for a 29mm SSS or SSSS. Price is right, i.e., FREE! Edward, measured out your Sorbitol, and it's good to go, as well as some stuff for JamesR.
I will have my Stainless Steel Rail Buttons in both 1515 and now in 1010 sizes. Plenty of both.
Warren
Bruce,
Dibs on the 29mm tube!
Anyone got 38mm motor mount tubing or a 38mm LOC coupler?
Ken
Ken,
I have some public missiles 38mm tube and coupler as well as a section of LOC tube and a 4" LOC coupler. Let me know what you need and/or prefer.
Ed
Ken, the 29mm tube is yours! See you guys tomorrow! Warren, please say that Lea will be making the lunch tomorrow. Next to Nadine's sister's BBQ, Lea makes the BEST!
Lea is definitely making lunch tomorrow. Taco bar.
