Art,
I'd love to get some CF plate - not too thick maybe 1/8" ? I'd probably go for a couple of the 15x15 or 1/2 of the 2x4 depending on the cost....
Let me know what works out for the run, and thanks for the opportunity...

Art,
Guess I'd go with the 15x15 then. Thanks, Sean
Are you going to be at the launch this weekend?
Hey Art,
Just curious, how many ounces worth of material equals an 1/8th" cured with the autoclave?
Using the vacuum method 6 layers of 13.3 oz. equals 1/8th". That's using a plain weave.
I'd love some Art, but without a specific project to apply it to, it just doesn't make sense. I've already got 75 yards of 5.6oz carbon on a roll, not to mention nearly as much 5.7oz Kevlar. I make plate too - just not autoclaved pre-preg so it tends to be a tad heavier and a tad thicker for the same amount of fabric I suppose.
Now if I only had some money....

PS: Anyone need an senior IT manager or director? 18 months of unemployment aside from minor consulting gigs is getting really tiresome.

I won't be able to make the launch this weekend, have a meeting in Denver.
13x13 is fine, Im in no hurry for the plate, just trying to come up with something fun for the 2 24mm carbon kits I've got laying around, going to modify them somehow fun and sexy like, I'm getting tired chasing and losing these min dia 3fnc birds.
Warren,
Seriously 75 yards? wow. I thought I was ordering a S-load getting 5 yards!!

I got a very serious deal back in 2003 and at the time I intended to build a carbon/Kevlar whitewater dory as well as rockets.
The plus side of this is that I was able to just throw in all the carbon used in Uproar and a few other projects.
