I am hoping to find someone who has too many dcs. I would like to think that my L2 Cert flight will happen soon, but my confidence is directly related to the security of retrieval. My budget does not allow a new collar purchase.. I am hoping to fly pml ariel (3" dia.) with a collar on it.
thanks,
Have you ever looked at a Zoombak? I think they are about $100.00. I have not looked into them very closely, just doing a lot of research, but it appears to be one the least expensive that I have found. It is advanced GPS and if you have a smart phone or a laptop with internet access, the tracking is real time. I found that at MHM my droid would get me internet access and would bring up GPS mapping via Google Maps. (aprs.fi is the website)
zoombak looks like a questionable alternative. It requires a 13/month service fee along with a T mobile plan. They do have some pretty cool tracking systems though.
I don't think that this is right for me. Thanks for the alternative though!
I have an extra DC-20 transmitter. What is the price you are looking for?
Edward
I've got 3 and could part with one. Again, what price range were you looking at?
Alternatively, I could loan you one with the standard "return it or replace it" deal that everyone uses for motor casings.

Dave,
Not to change the subject, but what motor do you plan to put in the Ariel for your L2 flight? I ask, because if you are using the Quantum Tube, you should not push it near Mach. I speak from experience, having my Ariel shred some years ago with a CTI J295 aboard.
