I'm going to get another kit before OFest and also a reload for a L2 Cert flight. I'd like to support a local vendor if I could, so anyone got any specials?
I'm looking for a 2" 38MM size rocket, right now I'm eyeing the Dark Star from WildMan
For the L2 I'm looking at the J354W also from Wildman as they offer the free 6G Casing along with it.
Thanks in advance.

Chris, there are two options that might interest you.
-- Deal #1 is $15 off any Kevlar purchase when you buy a glass rocket from 3 Dogs. For your situation, the Little Dog Dual Deploy is a great fit http://www.3dogsrocketry.com/pdf/econoline%20kits/little_dog_dual_deploy/Little%20DogDD-exp.pdf Another 2" rocket that is really selling well is the Black Brant II from Madcow. Kevlar offer good through the September 11 launch.
-- Deal #2 is based on non-glass Madcow kits. If you buy one kit, you get 10% off, two kits and you get 15% off, and three kits gets you 20% off. I know you said you were interested in 2", but the 4" diameter PAC-3 is soooooooo cool... Great L2 bird!
Both offers are limited to what is in-stock (though I think I have pretty much everything right now)
BTW, one last thought on glass rockets - the Little Dog Dual Deploy and BB2 are both convolute-wound, vs. filament wound for the Dark Star series. I'm personally a HUGE fan of convolute vs. filament. I go into more detail on both the FAQs and the blog at www.3dogsrocketry.com
John: are you sure the DarkStars are filament? I thought all the Wildman kits were convolute, basically identical to PR tubing. I can't remember for sure though - I'll have to check my Wildman Jr tonight and see.
Wildman kits use Hawk Mountain tubing. I have a couple of them. All filament wound.
You are sorta both right 😀
First, go to http://www.wildmanrocketry.com/pdf/Kits/Wildman/DarkStar%20instructions.pdf and it pretty clearly shows (in the photo) as filament wound. Best to check directly with Tim, but he has been moving away from Performance convolute tubing. While I am not sure, I think he is sourcing the filament wound from Performance (and not Hawk) - but I am not sure.
Filament is cheaper (for good reason, in my humble opinion). I'm looking at doing some kits in filament, largely because it is so much cheaper material. For the stuff that I personally fly, I very much prefer convolute.
I want to emphasize that I'm not Tim's spokesperson and you need to check directly with him on what material he is using. I'm going by what he had in the photo.
