Does anyone know when MHM 08 is supposed to be, or if it is even scheduled yet? I'm really just curious because I just learned that I have a calculus final on Saturday May 3, so it would be nice to know fairly early whether I'll be able to make Mayhem or not...
it's May2-4, and I'm gonna miss it for the first time since I joined NCR too. I have a family obligation that weekend that I can't miss. I am SO bummed.

The hell with that final! Only one tiny test In the larger test of Life! 😉
just kidding.

Crud.
Well, looks like it'll be the first large launch since I joined the club that I'll miss 🙁
I might make Sunday, but this sucks 🙁
Mile Hi Mayhem is, with one exception, ALWAYS the first weekend in May and Oktoberfest the first weekend in October. Keep that in mind always and you'll never miss it in the future.

Yeah, I know when it is, but some things can't be avoided.

I thought that was the case, but I still may miss it in the future. Finals are kind of hard to avoid...

Chris, when I was at CU I had the same problem. Before I decided to leave CU I had already talked to two of my professors about rescheduling my finals for an earlier day. Even if I would have stayed I would have made Mayhem.
Now, I am not saying that all professors will do that for you, it just depends but if you talk to them and make a good case for yourself then you might be able to do both, if it is ok with your Mom and Dad.
Just a suggestion. Hope all is going well in Boulder. Keep those pets unleashed, keep those prairie dogs around and don't smoke anywhere 🙂

I am planning on talking to them, and I will see about any potential rescheduling, but I'm not tremendously optimistic. It's possible that it may change, but I wouldn't consider it likely.

Isnt nice that University professors dont run the real world. I remember when my Wife was going to that College in Greely, CSU, UNC, one of those anyway, can never keep them strait. One of here Professors ..........
well anyway. Good Luck.

Chris, there will be other launches. Final exams in general, and specifically calculus finals (for aspiring engineers) are exceedingly important. SO important that they are scheduled many months in advance. 😯
As you grow older, you will find life filled with all sorts of dilemmas. Believe me, I know – moving to Iowa meant setting aside a LOT of the things I was passionate about. I think most of us at NCR would feel way better about you acing your calc final vs. burning a motor or two on May 2.
I’ll make you a deal – if you promise to hit the books hard and do your best on your calc exam, I'll shag a rocket for you on May 3. I'll bet other guys would volunteer as well...
I'm in, JW. Chris, calculus is more important than flying, for you right now. Rockets are forever, just get through school, that's in your NOW file. 😉
I can attest to the calc finals. I've taken 6 of them. Stick with it Chris.
Okay, Ken, it's not like you have a degree in advanced mathematics... oh, right, you do. 😉 I only took one calc final, then went English major (not because of the final though, did well, way back in '71)... you do the math... right, JW? I reached my "limits" with integrals, and became deranged with derivatives... 😯 Though I have two really good Calculus books in my library that I've read more than once.
You actually read calculus books for entertainment? 😯
Im not even sure what Calculus is! Some sorta math right? 🙄
Isnt there some sorta Computer program that will do all that for ya?
Oh and in 71 I was 5. 😉
