Well lookie here... http://pro38.com/products/pro24/pro24.php
Dr. J confirms that there will indeed be "Pro24" casings. That will make for some interesting boosts! This is a great idea....
That may spell the end of AT single use motors, and after I've witnessed two E30 CATOS, one of which destroyed my Big Bertha upscale, I won't miss them.
You can still find AT reloadable 24-40 motors for $6.50 per flight, which will be hard for CTI to beat, but I welcome the new propellants and better delay system. It would be especially cool if they could make 4, or more grain 24mm loads. Wonder what kind of altitude a 24mm full impulse G load would attain?
Come on 6GXL Pro24! (in Imax propellant)

Yes, the rumor mill is busy again but this time pretty substantial truth coming our way. I'm looking for something like the old G55's and full F's for SuperRoc Altitude shots.

Probably around 11,000-12,000 feet, depending on the burn duration. A 29mm G25 has cleared 10,000 feet, and a non-optimized rocket on a 3/4 impulse G37 has gone about 8500 feet.
I noticed recently the following note at valuerockets.com: "NOTE: THE E30T MOTORS ARE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE AS WE MAKE THE TRANSITION TO USING A NEW MOLDED CASE "
My 24mm wish list:
A full G25 (altitude)
A full F10 (altitude)
E30 (all-around fun motor)
An E60 (booster stage and retro-rocket)
A D20 (straight flights on small fields)
Motor spacers

That would be about a 50% H, wouldn't it? That could be interesting

Yes please with a tapered closure
How about a single grain Imax. would that be a full D or E, too cool 😀
Most Excellent 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈
JOE - add some of these to that order 😆
I can't wait. I'll have more CTI stuff than AT the way things are going. 😆
Seems to me that Anthony and CTI are making a major investment in hobby rocketry - certainly they've done more in the last 2 years than they have since 2000 in terms of new motors, new sizes, new propellants, etc. etc.
On the other hand, Gary is dropping the ball. I've got a bunch of Aerotech cases and loads and I'd readily trade them all in for CTI hardware.

8) I kind of think that MHM would be the PERFECT place to show the new 24's. The 29's were wildly popular last year, selling out the first day. 😆 I know my check book is ready....The D,E,F and G,H,I contests should be a hoot! 8)

I was hoping you would be. Probably too late for suggestions, but one can dream...

Never too late.
Are you serious about the motor spacers though? For what reason?

Adrian,
Maybe we can help CTI roll out the 24mm motors at MHM with an altitude duel-
Meet me at noon on the high plains, at the NCR corral. Bring your Raven altimeter, same launch tower, same CTI 24mm load. Maybe a full F or G and we can take down some more records. One shot each.

Based on a few guesses.
I'm guessing that there will be a case that's the same length as an Estes D engine, and that there will be a CTI D-impulse load for it, for small fields, that would require some kind of spacer. I'm hoping that it's a cleaner solution like the pro-38s and their spacers, rather than the annoying internal cardboard spacer of the A/T 24-40. But maybe you have a fully external cardboard spacer and 2 case sizes, which would be o.k., too, if it's inexpensive enough. (I do a lot of flying on Ds and Es on a local school field for deployment testing and to have rocketry fun with my kids without the long drive.)
I'm also planning to buy case sizes for a full G, a full F, and maybe a full H if you have one, and I'm thinking that there is likely going to be a case size or two that I would rarely fly, sized between those and an Estes D-length case. I'd probably rather buy all the case sizes if 4 or 5 of them come together for $100-$120, but otherwise I'd probably rather buy the two or 3 I'm most interested in and buy a cheap spacer for the other one or two. I'm also guessing that the CTI loads will be priced reasonably enough that I'll want to fly them for more than just record attempts.
But since you seem surprised, I'm also guessing that my other guesses are off-base. 😉
I'm looking forward to more details when available.
Thanks again for all the great product development. I hope the folks with the purse strings are o.k. with your development budget! Very impressive. I think you have certified more motors in the last 2 years than everyone else put together for the last 5, maybe more.
I agree with Adrian on this one.
There are a few of us on the board that fly small fields (relatively) and would like a couple good all around cases that we can use for a wider range. It's like needing a spacer for 29, I was thinking it would make that more scalable to smaller fields as well. Although I already have a 1,3,6 grn cases and am waiting for the 2 grn. So it's a mute point there I guess 😉
But, it you offered a set like Adrian was saying, I feel it would be a hot seller. And, I too would forgo the spacer and get a set.
