The site, above, lets you scroll through both altitude and time. On Friday you’re looking at 60 knots (70 mph) at 18,000 feet.

Here’s a good upper level wind forecast site. The forecast for Friday is for a 150 mph jet stream to be centered over the launch site. Hopefully it will move off after that.http://aviationweather.gov/adds/winds/

You can get tungsten powder from Amazon, but it’s not all that cheap. People use it for weighting golf clubs. It’s about $15 for 1/2 lb if I recall correctly. It’s a pretty easy way to shave 1/2″ off of… Read more»
