I’ve used PML rivets to hold ebays in many (many MANY) times. They work great.

Kyle, you absolutely have the skills to take some of these records – I mean that sincerely.Warren – one final clarification – per the other threads, this remains a *SINGLE* shot sweepstakes, correct? You splatter, you lose it, you shred… Read more»

If a flyer pipes up, he is only hurting his chances at winning. If I were lucky enough to have an astounding flight that had serious bragging rights, the more people I told, the fewer would enter. It would be… Read more»

One way to add a little drama and still have fresh players coming in after the first flight is to NOT publicly announce the altitude of an SSS or SSSS boost. Participants could fly, have the LCO witness the altitude,… Read more»

Brad Morse replied to the topic "SSSS – 2008" – 5 years, 11 months ago
Warren, one thing that has seemingly changed is there is no deadline on the entry. If Ed, for example, strolls out there at MHM and lobs a J350 to 15,000′, there will probably be exactly no one enter after that…. Read more»

Tim, will Cesaroni introduce some slower-burning stuff? I like AMW hardware and many of their propellants. I’d sure like something that burned a wee bit longer, though…

Tim, thanks for your post. Given the barrage of new motors and all the manufacturers, I wonder if there might (someday) be a list of ALL loads from ALL manufacturers? An Excel sheet that could be downloaded from the website… Read more»

Brad Morse replied to the topic "Liner" – 5 years, 11 months ago
One really nice thing about that liner material – it makes a FANTASTIC piston for phenolic or LOC airframe, if pistons are your thing. Doesn’t schtick as easily as coupler material, and it seems to be just a tad smaller… Read more»

Thanks to all who responded on and off line. I think I will go w/ 4 ea. #4 screws. I procured some heavy polystyrene rod, but got to worrying about how things may shrink at 40,000′ MSL (it is c-c-cold… Read more»

‘Tis not mine – most of “Poetic Justice” was returned to me by Joe Hinton and I don’t use Adept altimeters. It does indeed look like Carl’s – I remember the day he flew that.JW

http://www.wicksaircraft.com/catalog/product_cat.php/subid=489/index.html is a good source of Aeropoxy, though I don’t see the “Light” (which is a wonderful filler) there. For that, I went to http://www.aeropoxy.comRegarding using kevlar and carbon and mixing and v-bagging, I’ll say this… I had a booster… Read more»

Most Adept transmitters are mounted in the nosecone. A 38mm 5:1 conical will hold one nicely 😀 there is some interesting geometry when you get into the 29mm stuff. I can show you a typical mounting at MHM.JW

We just watched “2010” again last week. I liked that a lot more than “2001”. Roy Scheider, John Lithgow… great cast. Highly recommended! I was pleasantly surprised at how well the movie aged.
