I would think that should be fine. Not sure what our longest 3/16" rod is but I think your rocket will be much happier on it.

Not saying it can't be done, but 1/8" rods are kinda like soggy noodles. Heck I don't like flying my Lil'Nuke off our 1/4" rods. Just my opinion, but I just can't even imagine the rod whip you'd get...
