I generally build as you've described in #1 unless there is a very good reason not to. I would expect that if you are careful with the epoxy it shouldn't add too much unnecessary weight.

Keep in mind that CJL thinks every 29mm rocket needs an H268... 😯 of course he's probably right too , although I favor the I200 myself. A full 29/360 is the important part 😀
