I believe CTI 75mm work with AT 75 hardware, and this might be true about the 98’s as well…It’s only the bigger stuff, and it sure would make it a lot easier, as the big hardware isn’t cheap…

I’ll be in, and I have a couple of potential designs that are easily in the 100g range. 200 gees is possible, though expensive (my only 200g design involves a J1299 and 6 H999’s, which at 1800lbs average thrust is… Read more»

Couple seperate subjects: re the Eggs, it is doable, as I have argued from the beginning. But whether mother nature or the best thru-hole electronics balks first might be the best question. I seriously doubt any egg can survive a… Read more»

I have to agree on that. I have looked into some designs, and I think I have what I want to do picked out. It should be pretty fun, and the E BG’s have some real potential with the E6… Read more»

I used the time-independent acceleration equation, V(f)^2-V(i)^2 = 2adIn this case, after a fall of around 15 or 16 feet (around 4.9 meters), the velocity works out to be right at 9.8 meters per second, with a fall time of… Read more»

Nope. Simply knowing the speed at impact and estimating the distance that it stopped in based on the amount of deflection needed to cause a crack of the kind observed in the tupperware container. Turned out to be about a… Read more»

Just did some more drop testing outside for my latest method of egg-protection – got up to at least a few hundred gees impact (15 foot drop onto concrete). Something completely unexpected happened – I cracked the tupperware, but the… Read more»
