RE: Rocket Launching We'll gladly launch smaller rockets all day long, and it's also fun to watch the bigger ones, even if you aren't flying them. There isn't any launch fee for low power as far as I know, and you should ... |

RE: Altimeter Problem. ?? OK, using a very quick and dirty rocksim, I just got an estimated altitude of 6800 feet. Rocksim usually estimates on the high side, but either of those two altitudes still seems plausible. |

RE: Altimeter Problem. ?? I don't know - 7400 feet sounds almost believable, off the top of my head here. You did have an L730 and 3 small Js powering your rocket. That's 4700Ns total, near to a full L. My 4" AIM-120C (34lbs l... |

RE: Sept. 6/7 launch I'll definitely be there, though my L2 has been delayed due to excessive homework. It's basically structurally complete, but recovery is still unfinished, as is paint. It'll be ready for oktoberfest. ... |

RE: 29 mm record attempt build thread Here's the tube after it came out. I sanded it a bit and hit the middle part with some clear coat. It's almost 13" long, and 29 grams. It seems much stiffer and stronger than it needs to be. But I... |

RE: Debugging Two-stage Flight at MHM - The Twins Looking at some of my dad's shots, it's hard to tell, but it's possible that it came off as a drag separation right after booster burnout. It looks like it gets shorter at that point, but it's hard to... |

RE: 38mm min dia recovery? Mine (Cirrus) was on a 24" chute, with a measured descent rate of 25 feet per second, and a descent time of around 500 seconds. If I were to try it again, I'd probably go a bit smaller, more around an... |
