I’ve still got a lot of SRS reloads to fly here 🙂 They fly awesome and setup at TC has been a breeze. Once flew from start to finish in 15 minutes (setting up GSE and everything). I’ll have the… Read more»

The Skyrippers are very easy to prep at the pad. You hook up a line to your nitrous tank and then your ignitor. It isn’t like a hypertek where you have to seat it on a fill stem and tie… Read more»

I would say you have to fly all 10 motors. If you did your A-F/G motors motor eject with altimeter for recording only. Your H, I, J would be DD. You’d have to be ready to fly when you got… Read more»

No, I haven’t. The cylinder that I have right now weighs 3.4 kgs and is aluminum. The equivalent from Luxfer on that page weighs 3.3 kgs empty. Not worth it for 100 grams.Edward

The M500 has a total impulse of 9000 N. I’m hoping to up that to around 10,000 N. I don’t know about certifying it right now. I’ve been on/off about doing it. I don’t think most people could build light… Read more»

I’ll have to get all the final numbers done for the M. It’s kinda heavy and odd diameter 4.5″ OD. The first priority of the M motor is a flight in HS-2 – a rocket built by John Bixler. To… Read more»

I’m currently putting the finishing touches on the M 500 hybrid. Right now it’s 98mm and burns for 12-15 seconds. And it’s shiny. Did I mention it’s shiny? I’ve got to sway you over to the dark side Conway….Edward

Just read this and thought of an idea that might work to get the liner started to budge for the next time around. Take the forward closure (I’m assuming that it is tapped) and flip it around with the o-ring… Read more»

edward replied to the topic "what hybrid system to get?" – 6 years, 7 months ago
If you can wait until the new year Alpha Hybrids will have a 54mm I and J to offer. They are pre-filled tanks so there is no GSE at the pad. You need a scale and nitrous tank to fill… Read more»

Flip the piston so that the bulkhead is down and is open upward. It is actually the stable design for one. I don’t have the website handy but a guy did a study and found that flipping it is the… Read more»
