This sad news is a real kick in the gut. Scott was always smiling and generous with his time. The last time I saw him, I think it was at Mayhem, he was helping his grandkids launch.
And seconding your point, Steve, I actually overheard a news report late Monday or early Tuesday. I wasn't paying much attention. My first thought was about how dangerous Longs Peak is this time of year (or anytime), but my second thought was… what a coincidence that the victim had the same name as one of my rocket buddies. My mind didn't even entertain the possibility that they were one and the same.
Great pics, as always, Mike. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a plan… per my conventional e-mail reply, I'm available to tow both ways. I plan to set up my camp trailer on Thursday and will retrieve the rocket trailer on Thursday PM. Should have a passel o' people around to get set up early on Friday. Sun comes up @ 0529, BTW. Rise and shine.

I can tow. Assuming things are relatively dry, I'll pull my camp trailer down there on Friday afternoon and then go get the rocket trailer. See y'all out there.

Joe,
If you want I can run up there on Friday (after Wednesday's weather event) and take a look at things. If things look favorable, I can tow both ways on Saturday.
