Set up at the Atlas site is a little easier done as it is a smaller launch area to fill. Doesn’t take that long to unload the trailer. That said, I’d be figuring we’ll do one rack of four for… Read more»

Most awesome, thanks Ken. I’ll be calling in the waiver tomorrow (Thursday). Given the current forecast and the shortened daylight hours, flyers should get there early to take advantage of this opportunity to launch.

Astonishing read and probably right on. I’m reminded of the “Men in Black” – There’s always an Arquillian Battle Cruiser, or a Corillian Death Ray, or an intergalactic plague that is about to wipe out all life on this miserable… Read more»

What we really need is a big dump of snow to knock down the grass and keep the ground moist. Or a herd of bufflao to crop it really short. As far as I have been able to determine, Fire… Read more»

Jeffrey Joe Hinton replied to the topic "what rods do we have?" – 6 years, 1 month ago
Nothing like adding more drag but a possibility of both affords greater capability on the fields. By installing both, a spare rod or open rail then becomes accessible.

Most powder calculators are not calibrated for our launch platform altitudes so an extra little helps assure deployment. In my humble opinion, it is still best or wisest to GROUND TEST flight configurations as much as possible for deployment with… Read more»

When car alarms go off in the neighborhood it might be time to re-calculate the ratio of charge needed for air frame space pressurization. Deployment with attitude at altitude is an unknown variable that commands attention and testing. Lots of… Read more»
