Scott, take a Midol. Mike, thank you for your kind words but check your math. 2 K’s, depending on the K’s, added together might still equal a K. Typically, regardless of the number of motors, it’s still one flight…. Read more»

Everyone needs to keep their panties from getting bunched up. All good points of discussion. From a hysterical perspective, I mean historical, when PHITS and TRM were flying, the bent of competition developed between who was flying the highest or… Read more»

Clusters and staged flights are credited to the largest motor used, not the total number of motors used or the total weight of propellant. Trying to enter more than one motor per flight creates other data entry headaches. Our databases… Read more»

What if the rocket used for the G shot also had to be the same rocket used for the J shot and you got to combine altitudes for a grand total? Two shots at one prize.

Jeffrey Joe Hinton replied to the topic "2009 SSS Discussion" – 6 years, 7 months ago
Keeping the motor to G’s or under allows EVERYONE a chance to play if they desire to do so. I’d prefer a closing date for entry – single shot – pay in and take your chances – closed to all… Read more»

Change of plans – Forever Ugly will go on a J275 instead.

Jeffrey Joe Hinton replied to the topic "Who is coming Saturday?" – 6 years, 7 months ago
If everything goes according to plan, Forever Ugly flies again – this time on a J135. If my plan has problems, it might just fly again anyway.

Jeffrey Joe Hinton replied to the topic "Who has used an L730 CTI" – 6 years, 7 months ago
Excellant advice from Art. The CTI motors are consistently easy to light with the supplied ignitors and a little help inside doesn’t hurt for airstarts. Adam Boggs and Jason Chamberlin have both flown the L730. And the answer to #35… Read more»

Jeffrey Joe Hinton replied to the topic "NAR or TRA" – 6 years, 7 months ago
Really all depends on what you’re looking to get out of your participation. If you’re into scale modeling and low power points competitions, then the NAR is probably the way to go. If you’d rather explore the edges of altitude… Read more»

Ed, I’d go ahead and do that if I were you. I mean, fly it. Scott’s a newbie – besides, I have a stealth flyer that’s sure to win if I can find it.

North site AOO is a two nautical mile radius for 20,000′ AGL and below, and it is a five nautical mile radius when the 35,000′ AGL windows were used.

Wacky Wiggler was found and probably packed up in either the LCO Table Blue Box. Also, Neil Kinney had Trey’s help in losing a Green Monkey Motor case in the immediate launch area.
