FYI to all concerned – set up is still planned to happen Thursday afternoon/evening and we’ll finish Friday morning for operations. Be smart – plan according to the weather – and be gentle on the roads and prairie.

FWIW, the wind was worst on Sunday and only 6 flights lifted off. I put up Screaming Yellow Zonker as a wind rabbit on an H and recovered about 1.3 miles away. I only flew because I didn’t on Saturday…. Read more»

School of Mines Rocket club has changed plans and will attend the April launch at the North Site. Civil Air Patrol is still planning to attend.

In other words, the motor and delay element both start burning at the same time. Blow thru often occurs when the delay element is not tightly sealed against the ignition source and then the powder lights pre-maturely. Sometimes, too powerful… Read more»
