Kenneth Reilly replied to the topic "MOTOR DELAYS" – 5 years, 9 months ago
Scott,The iffiness of motor ejection delays was what lead me to electronic deployment. I found instances where Rocksim says you need 12 sec and AT comes in 10 or 14, both of which lead to 100+mph deployments. There is a… Read more»

Kenneth Reilly replied to the topic "PVC tube motor casing cleaning" – 5 years, 9 months ago
I haven’t seen any evidence of this bath causing any change beyond the cleaning. From the Wikipedia: Aluminium, when exposed to oxygen, forms a thin layer of aluminium oxide on its surface which is relatively resistant, so that aluminium tanks… Read more»

Kenneth Reilly replied to the topic "Piston Ejection" – 5 years, 9 months ago
Hey Mike,You might want to reconsider the plastic rivet… Suppose your piston does push down, what if it jams against the rivet and fails to function by virtue of being jammed against the rivet? I’d be satisfied with making sure… Read more»

Whether the bulkhead is toward or away from the charge or somewhere in the middle, I don’t think matters nearly as much as 1) the skirt is long enough to preclude any significant twisting and 2) keep the tube and… Read more»

Shouldn’t be a problem. The rocket weighs in just a shade over 5 lb. Rocksim says it should go a little over 4700′. Unless the air is way thinner there, i don’t anticipate the waiver being a problem.Ken
