Food for thought. My 14X Swift was a ‘slow motion’ of fin flutter.1/2″ plywood fins.In was not even close to mach but the extra large fins flutteredbadly and tore the lower part of the rocket apart. If it had beengoing… Read more»

Tall grass yess.My Pawnee Arrow fell from 6000′ or so on a 36″ drogue.A 5″ by 7′ duel deploy. It only broke a 4″ piece just belowthe nose cone. I was pretty amazed.Right now the grass is pretty forgiving.

I thought of a hone. The outside is 53.3 OD. And the fins areglued to it. The process of honing would completely remove thephelonic tube leaving the inner fins exposed. One could thenslide some 54mm mmt…but. No way to re-glue… Read more»
