I just read a thing in Wired magazine about it – maybe it is seasonal during Burning Man only? The article didn’t say, but did say that Burning Man Inc paid to bring a very fat pipe into town and… Read more»

Gerlach has better high speed Internet than many towns or cities of over 200,000 population thanks to the Burning Man crowd. Supposedly they even have facilities to beam VERY high speed data out to the playa, although I’m sure some… Read more»

What size rail is it? I have an 8′ x 4″ Yellow and Blue rocket I’ve been planning on flying on an L1300BB. It has rail guides for 1010 rail.Warren

I work with the guy who designed the optics for the HiRISE instrument. He’ll be coming to Oktoberfest. He’s also flown about 2 dozen Nike/Black Brant shots for an XRay telescope he worked on.Warren

Several folks have said that the lack of tracking basically leaves them cold and that is one of the reasons they never flew. They don’t like the idea of losing a rocket.Warren

I think for 2008 I’d like to drop the “No Tracking” rule. It makes little sense aside from making it harder to return ANY altitude. I believe it has done something to cut participation.Warren
