Most of the folks I know use cardboard ones. I have a rough set of them for HPR tube sizes made from regular corrugated box cardboard. They are easy to replace and you can lay them out perfectly with an… Read more»

Sorry I missed ya Conway. I had planned on staying up for Sunday, but I was exhausted and the bird I’d planned on flying on Sunday had a really nice bounce from a flight to near 10K when the main… Read more»

Like I said, I have the 835cc tank. This would extend me down into the lower powered J’s, give me a spare valve and 2 fuel grains… Next build session for the Uproar, bring it down with you so I… Read more»

I’ll consider buying it. I have the 835cc tank and it sounds like you have 435cc tank. Those grains will also be a K240 with the bigger tank and the smallest orifice.Warren

Warren B. Musselman replied to the topic "SSSS / SSS" – 6 years, 1 month ago
I paid for 7 and the upgrade to 8. I use 7 for most of my stuff because 8 seems to be over optimistic all around on sims. 7 seems to be right on vis a vis optimal weight simulation,… Read more»

Chris, I’ve wrapped tubes from 3 wraps of .75 oz glass… worked just fine for F motors and I probably could have gotten away with 2 wraps.Warren

On the back burner is an upgraded weather section that includes all aviation weather reports – winds at altitude, jet stream, etc. All the weather is essentially Greeley weather by the way.Warren

Given the weather and strong potential for a fire ban after this launch, if you don’t fly your SSS this month, you may not get a chance until Oktoberfest… I’m not fully prepared, but I may take a shot at… Read more»

All I can say is that if you’re not using rails on birds with 38mm motor or above, and even 29mm birds, you’re not up to speed on current best practices. While the club maintains a bunch of launch rods… Read more»

hard to predict and depends on the foam, how carefully mixed, how much space to expand. Weigh the liquid before you mix it, mix and pour. You can figure the density by figuring the total weight divided by the volume.Warren
