Our planned Saturday Dec 1 Atlas launch has been scrubbed.  High winds and the predicted cloud cover equals a common sense approach to winter rules on the Front Range – Mother Nature wins again.

Apologies for the late decision making but really, the weather forecast is not in our favor.

4″ Madcow kit.  Olive drab with “US ARMY” decal.  Straight launch until about 4000′, then heeled over into the wind (from the SSE) and disappeared.  Should have gone to ~ 5500′.  Walked the areas North of the flight line both sides of the road past the fence line, and South of the flight line looking for anything that came in ballistic. I wanted to know the availability of the 35,000′ window in November.  I just doinked a part for my rocket this weekend and won’t be able to re-make it in time.

Looking forward to Oktoberfest.  Don’t know if anyone has a special rocket they wanted filming but I plan on having my camera set up there.  I have a couple of flights I would like to do but I should be able to film a L3 cert (Joe, hint hint) or any other special launch you would like to do.
