We’re up to about almost foot of snow down here in Highlands Ranch so far. I assume the snow will have to melt off of the road to the pad, among other things, for the November launch to happen?

Yeah, it’s the Google calendar that says Atlas site.Roger that on the waiver. In that case I’ll be flying the I600 (I still owe the pot $20), the I216, or maybe both if the first recovery goes well.

Word is TRA records committee will not be accepting any altitude records over 25K without GPS including the full raw stream data capture. Baro or Accel derieved altitudes will not be accepted.WarrenThat’s true now (though I think the cutoff is… Read more»

On top of the plateau due West from the launch site there are some undulating little valleys that like to hide rockets. Did your search cover that area?

For those of you playing with your own altimeters and flight computers, I came across a VERY interesting altimeter chip today.http://www.intersema.ch/products/guide/calibrated/ms5561c/SPI interface, 16bit, 10-1100 mBar, individually calibrated, integral temperature sensor for compensation.WarrenGood taste in sensors, Warren. That sensor in a…[Read more]

I think I figured out why my drogue descent rate was 180fps – I was looking over the data, and the charges weren’t nearly as energetic as normal. My apogee separation was somewhat delayed, and only reached a peak of… Read more»

Keep in mind there will be very little pressure acting on the surgical tubing to cause an increased burn rate. You would probably have to add in a catalyst to the pyro to get the burn rate up. Or stick… Read more»
