September launch I'll be there. I don't know what I'll have to fly yet, but August 1 to October is too long to go without flying. I love flying from Hartsel for flights under 14kft. |

RE: Any Towers Availabe August 1st I double-checked my tower and indeed the max fin circle diameter is just over 10". I could actually extend that a half inch or a bit more with some judicious belt-sanding, but not to 11.9". |

RE: Any Towers Availabe August 1st Hmm, I just check my RockSim file and I have a Span Diameter of 11.9 inches. It sounds like Adrian's tower won't work for me. Ed, Can I assist in hauling something for the large 3" tower? What dime... |

RE: Any Towers Availabe August 1st Everything is coming together for me to be there on Saturday, so yes, you can plan on my tower being there. I'd donate the tower to the club except that sometimes I want it at TC Hartsel launches too.... |

RE: Loki M3000 Good question. I'm glad you asked. The quickie analysis I gave was for the flat part of the fin, where the two face sheets are held apart by 0.04" of something, where that something could be G10 or ... |

RE: Loki M3000 After thinking about it some more, I realized that just compressing the fuel grains wouldn't be a very representative test, considering the higher temperatures, internal pressure, and reduction in mas... |

RE: Loki M3000 Thanks for the info. Maybe the lack of fin sweep was a contributing factor then. The shock wave would definitely be along the whole leading edge, not just the root. Worse, the rectangular-ish shape g... |
