The problem is that when they are not all identical in series, they will not all heat evenly (the one with the most resistance will heat first). Then, when it goes, the circuit is open and none of the others… Read more»

Parallel is ALWAYS the way to go, other than with some e-matches, and here’s why:First, in series, you are dropping the voltage that each igniter sees. If you have a 12V launch system, with 3 igniters, each only sees 4V…. Read more»

I can’t remember what I was looking for (other than some of the 18mm D’s), but email sent. Also, agreed that fuddruckers are nice – I was going to reccomend quickburst, but either will work great for those. As for… Read more»

I’ve got one H128 case, and Joe (cowan) has another. We need a third. I’ll be down there saturday early morning, and I’ll help after I get my big flight up. It would be nice if it worked though -… Read more»

That’ll work, though it will go HIGH (4000 feet) on an H128I’d trust it before the 3 motor cluster though, and it’s not like it’ll drift out of the launch site 🙂

You can’t cert on weight alone. Strangely enough, there are designs that you must be certed to fly, but that you cannot cert on. This appears to be one of them (unless you wanted to go with an H128X3 cluster)…. Read more»

Oh – absolutely agreed, which is why I stated it would be an interesting and challenging attempt, but doable.

He could do 3 H128’s.That’s still within the limits of L1.Still, it is definitely a challenge, and would make for an interesting cert attempt.

However, not on 3 G’sIt has to have one motor in the cluster at least that is in the certifying class. So an H and 2 G’s would be OK, but not 3 G’s.

Another (much cheaper) option than the first fires are Quickburst. Unfortunately, they are gone until the first of may, so so may have to eat the cost of the first fires for Mayhem, and then go to the others later.Another… Read more»

Theoretically, a 3/8 or 1/2 inch lug would be fine.Realitically, throw the lugs away and switch to rails. They whip less, are easy to use, and the buttons add less drag and impact the appearance a lot less.Overall, they’re a… Read more»

I know, but I would rather not qualify by loosing it while trying than by loosing it on a test flight. I agree about the DD issue – still debating about whether to go dual or not.

I personally will not be test-flying mine. It would be too difficult to find, and I want to maximize my chances of finding it. If I loose it, I want to loose it on the qualifying flight, not a test… Read more»

Well, actually the G75 is 29mm. Still, it is a long(er) burning full G, rather than the rather small G that the current G80 is (only 100Ns).
