RE: Octoberfest Interests!!!!! OK, the deuce project is closing in on completion, and it's looking good. I added some pics to the photo area of the website (here) of the build, including the most recent one of the dry fit. |

RE: Are you ready? I'm frantically finishing up my deuce - the fins just went on last night, get filleted tonight, then get tip to tip reinforcement during the week. The e-bay is close to finished as well, and it should... |

RE: Volunteers for MHM and Octoberfest I should be able to help with the teardown. I'll ask my dad if he can RSO at all, but he probably will say no (still not confident enough in his ability to judge a rocket's construction) - I'm sure he... |

RE: 38-480 Loki case What day? I have one (and it's already loaded too :)) Just give me a replacement I110, and you can borrow it. I can adjust the delay or take out the ejec. charge if you want. Would this be at oktoberf... |

RE: Octoberfest Interests!!!!! Well, thanks to an idiotic mistake (how could I have been so stupid), my Deuce project will be a tight squeeze to finish in time for Oktoberfest. It should still work out, but only if EVERYTHING else ... |

RE: Altimeters I am using 2 of them on my latest rocket, and I definitely trust them. Missile works products are very nice, and I have been extremely impressed with them with every use so far. As has been stated, 30... |

RE: Speaking of pistons... I have used pistons both ways, for various reasons (the upside down one, the way that the website promotes as "stable" was actually an accident), and I can say that regardless of orientation, I have n... |

RE: Nut-serts So John, any chance I can borrow the nutsert device sometime between now and oktoberfest? Sounds like a great way to attach the E-bay, and I want to try it. |

RE: Animal Motor Works AMW versus Aerotech AT I don't know about 30k, but you can easily see the smoke from an AMW motor (tracking smoke) through at least 25k... The rocket may be harder to spot, but the smoke trail will be there. |

RE: Speaking of pistons... My BBX uses pistons, and they work perfectly every time. Honestly, they are very similar to those in smaller birds - just keep the inside of the rocket relatively clean, and you'll be fine. |

RE: L3 Project Construction Tips Agreed 🙂 The diamond wheel goes through phenolic, glass, carbon, and kevlar (not cloth, but layups) like butter. Never seen anything else that cuts quite as cleanly and smoothly as it does. |

RE: Motor Retainers Yes, Aeropacks are made for 29mm, and they would be my retainer of choice. Alternatively, the threaded slimline is a great choice, or one could go with the simple Kaplow Clips. Friction fitting is sti... |

RE: Animal Motor Works AMW versus Aerotech AT Ok, I'll take your word for it then... I only saw one cato, and I know I saw at least 2 successful flights, but I could have easily missed some other catos. I will agree with you though - I have aerot... |
