RE: Animal Motor Works AMW versus Aerotech AT Pretty sure only one M1850 catod, and many had safe flights... I've flown both, and I'll stand the exact opposite of other opinions here - at least regarding the 38mm AMW, I'll clean 10 aerotech motor... |

RE: Drogue chute sizing In all honesty, I wouldn't be that concerned about maintaining exactly 50ft/s. It's perfectly fine to be above or below that by a considerable margin, and your rocket will work fine regardless. Just f... |

RE: Drogue chute sizing I use a Skyangle 20 for a drogue on my 14lb, 4 inch rocket, and I am planning on using a skyangle 36 on my upcoming 20-25lb project. Honestly, I would lean on the small side of those estimates, or ev... |

RE: New SSS/SSSS Thread We have an 8 inch dob and a 10 inch RCX400. The dob might be a good idea, but I'll rely on binocs and unaided tracking for mine... I just layed up some carbon sheet for my SSS - now I have some really... |

RE: Octoberfest Interests!!!!! Oh - I agree. A 2 stager could possibly do it with a smaller rocket and less propellant though, and therefore be less expensive. That's why I suggested it as an option. |

RE: Seamless Composite finishes What kind of working times do you get with the 205? I may look into that, as that is currently my biggest problem with west (when I use it for bonding). |

RE: Seamless Composite finishes Interesting... I've never used aeropoxy, but the ones I've used are West (starts clear, ends clear) and Pro-set (starts amber [orange hardener, crystal clear resin] and goes clear as it cures). |

RE: Altimeters Hmm... I agree - recording altimeters and the lot are definitely nice, but I still like the simplicity of a basic rocket with motor ejection sometimes. This device is nice, easy, and simple to program... |

RE: Altimeters I believe the standard perfectflite needs .5 seconds. I just ordered an Aerotech EFC - should be a nice little device. |

RE: NAR Sport Launch I think it would be a good idea. It would draw a lot of people, yes, but I think it is manageable. It is certainly nothing like an LDRS, but we have the site for it and it would bring a little more re... |

RE: Ejection canisters Or, if you really want premade, Quickburst makes ejection canisters that have their Cosmos e-matches (highly reccomended - that's all I use). Great products - looked at them at LDRS. |
