Depending on how long your motor mount tube is, if the motor actually sticks up beyond the tube, a hose clamp around the motor pinching the kevlar strap works for retention. Just don’t over tighten to crush the motor case…. Read more»

http://www.nar.org/SandT/pdf/CombinedMotorsByImpulse.pdfI think this is the most recent updated Certified list from NAR/TRA. The G55 that shows up on this list is the West Coast Hybrid. Still an awesome motor and could be flown on research days.

OMG, I recognize that fixture. Z folds or taped bundles or carpenters chaining, whatever you want to call it, is like adding elasticity to an otherwise more rigid and finite length of shockcord.

My advice, as a long time happy L2, is KISS for your Cert. Nail that then you can go wild. Big, dumb and in-sight is a great way to go. Build for a specific Baby M for your 3 but… Read more»
