Warren B. Musselman replied to the topic "launch rod lenghts" – 6 years ago

Warren B. Musselman replied to the topic "launch rod lenghts" – 6 years ago
If it weighs more than a pound, you have no business flying it off a rod. Rail guidea and rails are the way to go. While NCR does maintain a nice selection of rods from the smallest 1/8″ rods up… Read more»

Warren B. Musselman replied to the topic "dual deploy – stupid newbie questions" – 6 years ago
I did my L2 with dual deploy and redundant altimeters, charges and e-matches. I wanted to make sure I could do it before I started spending money on an L3 project.Warren

I don’t think we’ll need to worry about dryness, at least for MHM. Beyond that is questionable of course, but given that March and April are typically the wettest months of the year in the Front Range and Plains, I’m… Read more»

Warren B. Musselman replied to the topic "SSSS at MHM" – 6 years ago
I won’t be flying my SSSS or SSS this early in the year – I usually try to fly in June/July/August due to the added advantage of hotter, thinner air and less drag. Besides, I haven’t even started to build… Read more»

Warren B. Musselman replied to the topic "To Drogue or not to Drogue etc.?" – 6 years ago
At that weight, I’d be inclined to pop your main at 1000′ or higher. You’ll be coming in at a pretty zippy rate with that small drogue, which isn’t a bad thing, but it will have some serious velocity. You… Read more»
